Spalted Birch Hollow Form
Spalted Birch hollow form with deep blue epoxy filling the major cracks. The wood was too beautiful to lose due to the large cracks in the wood. The forces generated by spinning the wood on the lathe would have caused it to explode while hollowing. Thus, the cracks were filled with deep blue epoxy. Finished with linseed oil and beeswax.
